My Story of Georgia Faye Bakes

I started baking as a hobby at the start of 2015, baking all things cake. This started out because I was in and out of hospital, with now what they know. My Addison, back then they didn't know what was wrong and it took them some time to get to the bottom of it. So baking became my hobby and I just fell in love with making all different sweet things.  In December 2015, with lots of encouragement from family and friends I started a Facebook page as Georgia Faye Cakes.

The years went on and my business started to grow. I was working a full time job as a carer and then coming home and baking sometimes I would be working till midnight. When Covid hit I couldn’t work as I was classed as high risk of catching it, this pushed me to do my baking full time. I was so nervous about this and wasn’t sure if it was going to work. But If I didn’t try I would member know. So I took the plunge to do it!

June 2022 while on maternity I realised that I had outgrown my original logo and name, as I no longer just offered cakes. I offer all sorts of delicious bakes. And that’s when I became know as Georgia Faye Bakes.

Since then my business has gone from strength to strength. I’ve met and worked alongside some amazing companies, and made friends for life along the way.
March 2022 I became a mum to a beautiful little boy and continued to work from home but was looking into my own bakery.

June 2024 all my dreams became a reality. I finally took the plunge to open my own bakery I opened the doors for the first time to you all, to come to in on the 9th June 2024 to my very own unit and bakery, and what a turn out my open day way! The sun was shining, I was having lines of people waiting to come and have a look. It was just so lovely to see so many familiar faces along with lots of new ones. I sold out completely within a few hours, which I didn't expect. I was so overwhelmed and grateful.

We're now in June 2025 and it's not long before my second little boy joins my family. With this being said at the moment in time I've decided to close the doors on my bakery at the end of July. This hasn't been an easy decision but looking at the bigger picture when baby is here, the bakery at the moment won't work for me. Ive decided to move back home and focus on all your bespoke orders while my boys grow a little older, who knows in a few year Georgia Faye Bakes Bakery maybe once more...Watch this space.

It goes without saying, without all your love and support I wouldn’t be where I am today.

So thankyou
